The following is a list of the most important limitations with symTone as of March, 2006:
 
  1. ‣Only opens and saves png format
  2. ‣Does not resize large images to fit on the screen (and therefore it doesn’t really work with large images!)
  3. ‣Requires a third input device (the touchpad on a laptop or an extra mouse for a desktop Mac) to operate the carbon file dialog boxes.
